A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending an event at J3 Clothing Co. in Moreland Hills. I had heard of them briefly after they opened last year and then again after this article in Cleveland Magazine. So I was delighted for the opportunity to check them out. They closed down the store for us and had beer, wine, bubbly (because you know the way to a 30-something blogger's heart will always be bubbly) and nibbles from their next door neighbor Flour.
You know how I feel about the Well Dressed Man. I love a guy with his own style. An effortless style that is thoughtful but not overly wrought can be very powerful. This is a man who knows himself and what he wants out of the world. Trouble is, men don't usually endlessly browse for the next greatest pair of shoes or pants like women do. They will head to the store when they need to stock up or realize something needs to be replaced or is missing from their current wardrobe.
Whimsical larger than life art encourages that no one takes themselves too seriously.
J3 Clothing Co is the perfect stop for this man. They have redefined the way men shop for clothing and accessories. Unlike department stores, everything has been handpicked with a fashionable yet wearable eye and it's all in one place. No more running from one department for a blazer, then another for swim trunks and yet another for a great pair of jeans. It's all here. Creating a laid back atmosphere with a modern meets reclaimed interior, their well-appointed seating, flat screens and wet bar encourages guys to relax and get comfortable.
Our kind hosts, JB Dunn and Joe Paster chatted with us about innovative trends in men's clothing.
J3 stands for JB Dunn, Joe Paster and Jack Madda. With over 60 years of combined experience, these men have figured out what works (and more importantly) what doesn't when it comes to building client relationships. Seeking out to create a space for the professional 25 to 55 year old to shop for both business and pleasure, they've tapped into a luxurious and unique vibe all while remaining relatable. We were fortunate to meet both JB and Joe, and let me tell you, these are fun guys. Guys you'd like to crack a beer open with and just chat. So that's what we did.
Throughout the store you'll find repurposed pieces such as this gorgeous chandelier.
Displays and tables fromAPOC (A Piece of Cleveland) and 44 Steel lend a masculine vibe.
Offering ready to wear merchandise along with custom, made-to-measure menswear ensures you will walk out with the right look for you and your budget. And since everything has been handpicked by three different, fashionable men means you can't go wrong. So even if your guy isn't quite the Well Dressed Man, he can be. All he needs is an afternoon and a few beers at J3.
